Graduation season is here, and we’re excited to celebrate the incredible achievements of the Long Beach Unified School District’s Class of 2026!
 

The National Equity Project (NEP) recently highlighted the Long Beach Unified School District in its publication, “Seeding Liberatory Leadership”, praising LBUSD’s continued commitment to equity and innovation for its students.

More than a thousand LBUSD students from TK through 12th grade participated in the 2026 Green Week bookmark contest, celebrating Earth Day’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” with 14 student winners recognized Districtwide for their creativity.

On May 2nd, the Long Beach Unified Office of Equity, Engagement & Partnerships brought together students, families, staff, and community members for the 2nd Annual AAPI Heritage Month Celebration at Cabrillo High School.

At MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center, a growing partnership with Long Beach Unified School District is giving high school students opportunities to explore healthcare careers through a combination of job shadowing, mentorship, and hands-on simulation.

Join us for our 2nd Annual Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Festival at Cabrillo High School on Saturday, May 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.!

Students from the Migrant Education Program (MEP) at Long Beach Unified School District were recognized for their outstanding achievements at the Los Angeles County Office of Education’s 8th annual Migrant Education Program Regional Speech and Debate Tournament on Saturday, March 14.
